'Lets keep that flower dollar in the school system'
- Jim Lineberger
Each year, an overwhelming number of people bring flowers to graduations that they purchase from vendors off-site. In the beginning, I thought, 'Why aren’t the schools benefiting from these sales? We need to change that.'

An Idea Was Born
In 2004, Kahuna Flowers broke onto the scene by beta-testing a new concept in schools- flower fundraising. Orchid leis and rose bouquets had long been a hit at the college level, but nobody had really brought the concept to K-12 education in California. In 2004, that all changed.
In 2006, we went national. We started offering our services to colleges and grew substantially in the years to come.
This was a pivotal year. This was the year we took the whole process online and offered buyers a chance to purchase from anywhere in the country- and grads could pick-up product at the ceremony.
The introduction of the Kukui Nut Lei into our brand. The customization of school products that were a non-perishable, custom and very appropriate to the graduations made this year a turning point in our product line.
Our most exciting year ever! Kahuna Flowers grows into Kahuna Fundraising and offers products year-round: Kukui’s at football games (and sporting events), T-shirts and spirit wear, Valentines day, mothers day… it was all in play. We also launched our new website to offer complete insight into how our process works.
